Care Kits

Build a Care Kit That Fits Your Community

Care Kits are all about meeting real needs in simple, thoughtful ways. There’s no single “right” kit—your class, group, or family can create any kind of kit based on what people around you might need most.

A Care Kit could be practical, comforting, fun, or all three. The goal is to notice a need, choose items with care, and share them in a way that helps someone feel supported and seen.

Care Kit Ideas (Just to Spark Inspiration)

  • Hygiene kits (toothbrush, toothpaste, wipes, deodorant)

  • Comfort kits (socks, snacks, notes of encouragement)

  • School supply kits (pencils, notebooks, crayons)

  • Calm-down kits (stress balls, coloring pages, fidgets)

  • Weather kits (hats, gloves, sunscreen, reusable water bottles)

  • Thank-you kits for community helpers (notes, treats, handmade cards)

If you’re not sure where to start, we’ve got you covered.

Easy Starter Projects We Can Help With

We offer simple tools and guides to help you launch:

  • 🎒 Backpack Drive – collect and fill backpacks with school essentials

  • 🎄 Stuff the Stocking – create small, joyful kits for kids or families

These projects are designed to be age-appropriate, flexible, and doable, whether you’re working with a class, team, club, or family.

No matter what you choose to make, every Care Kit starts the same way:
notice a need, take action, and care hard.

  • Care Kit Idea: Backpack Drive

Did you know? The average family spends $875 a year per student on basic school supplies, clothing, and shoes. 25% of students or almost 15,000 million kids don’t have the supplies they need to support their learning.

Every child deserves a chance to learn and grow, but not everyone has the tools they need for school. By sharing supplies, we can help make sure every kid feels ready to learn and succeed.

It's easy to STUFF THE BACKPACK!

    1. Download our FLYER and fill out or have a parent help to fill it out.

    2. Decide a date you will collect school supplies and then write that on the blank line in the printable - we recommend a week out from when you drop off your flyer. Make it personal by signing your name.

    3. Deliver a signed flyer to the homes you trust in your neighborhood.

    4. With an adult, kids safely collect the supplies left out next to the donors' mailboxes.

    5. Drop off supplies to a local shelter or resource center of your child's choice.

    6. Comment below and let us know how many backpacks you stuffed and what you learned from this challenge.
