Thank you to all the families that came to our Care Fair! Over 400 showed up to Flower Hill Promenade to participate, and more than 200 kids took the Inlight Kindness Pledge! During the event, kids were inspired to fill a "kind bucket". For each act of kindness they performed, they got to place a pom-pom in their pail. We celebrated over 1370 acts of kindness.

We would like to recognize and thank the volunteers, sponsors, and supporters that made our special event possible:

Sycuan Casino, Bloc, Orangetheory Solana Beach, Geppetto's Toys, Flower Child Del Mar

If I was a bird yoga, KIND snacks, and Flower Hill Promenade.

What exactly is a Care Fair?

Imagine taking your family to a Farmers Market designed specifically for children. There is a youthful vibrancy to the environment created by the kitschy entertainers and this overwhelming feeling of hope in the air.

As your family peruses the market, it is your child who holds the basket, navigates course, and makes decisions. After engaging nonprofits, browsing conscious nooks, and interviewing mentors, your family basket is full of not things to buy but ideas to change the world.

Included with the “checkout” is a child-centric business plan template and toolkit so that your budding philanthropist can create a plan post-event to raise both money and their voice for a good cause.

Onsite event and at-home activities aim to develop character, purpose, and skills including:

kindness - connection - conservation - financial literacy - social-communication skills - advocacy - ethos - empathy - exuberance - literacy - self-expression - confidence - purpose - critical thinking - problem solving - service
